World Elder Abuse Awareness Day logo
Elder abuse can happen to anyone, from any walk of life.  It is a well hidden problem that affects  hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. The term “elder abuse” covers a wide range of mistreatment and usually involves the aspect of abuse in a trusted relationship.  Among other things this exploitation can involve physical, emotional or financial abuse.  The elderly often lack resources and don’t know where to turn for help.

You can help!
  • First, learn more about this issue.  Our WEAAD event is free and offers information on every aspect of this issue.
  • Second, keep a watchful eye on elderly family, friends and neighbors to help them stay safe and healthy.
  • Third, let others know what you learn.  As more people become aware, the elderly in our community will be safer, healthier and happier.
We hope you will join us and take action to  protect yourself and your loved ones from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. If you would like to attend this event, click the Attendee Registration button and complete the form below.  Although free to attend, pre-registration is requested for planning purposes.
