Healthy Striders Community Involvement
We like to stay active and look for ways to give to others while we’re at it. The members of Havasu Healthy Striders make it a primary goal to be involved in our community. With proceeds from our own walking events, we have made donations to Lake Havasu High School and Telesis Preparatory Academy. Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department!
Here are just a few of the activities we’ve been a part of:
Stripes on the Walking Path
We made a donation to Lake Havasu City to paint white stripes on the island walking path. This helps make the path pet-friendly by providing a cooler surface for dogs to walk on in the summer. It also helps the visually impaired to stay on the pavement, reducing the risk of falls.

Free Family Swim
We sponsor Open Swim Days at the Lake Havasu Aquatic Center to encourage kids and families to get active. This has become a popular event that is looked forward to each year.

Support Groups that Bring Great Activities
We volunteer yearly at the Grand Canyon Rodeo and donate tips back to the Friends of the Rodeo to help keep great activities coming to Havasu.
Volunteer for Community Events
We volunteer at other group walking/running events, such as the HcHF Heart Health Awareness Walk and the Havasu Triathlon & Mountain Collegiate Triathlon Conference.
Inspire Students & Others to be Active
We participate in health fairs and in the Fall Fun Fair, also we encourage children to get on their feet and get active.
